Los Angeles - The Change Reaction, a giving movement disrupting the philanthropic model, announced the addition of 12 new partner organizations that have joined The Change Reaction Los Angeles network. These partner organizations can submit emergency assistance grant requests to help meet the immediate financial needs of their clients to avoid falling into a financial crisis. For many hardworking people living paycheck to paycheck, an unexpected bill or some small emergency of just $400 can cause a crisis.

(LOS ANGELES) – The Change Reaction, a Los Angeles based charitable foundation revolutionizing philanthropic giving, today announced it passed a significant milestone in Los Angeles with $1 million in zero-interest loans, and direct assistance to small businesses in Los Angeles. Additionally, over the past year, The Change Reaction has given over $1.5 million in direct grants to more than 1,300 individuals and families for a total of $2.5 million moved to those most in need.

BEND, OR: City Councilor Chris Piper, Foundation for Affordable Housing, and The Change Reaction announce the Bend Small Business Relief Fund. This fund, supported by individual donors, will provide zero-interest loans to Bend-area ‘Main Street’ businesses negatively impacted by COVID-19. The loans are available to businesses with fewer than 15 employees and less than $1 million in annual income. All loan repayments will be ‘paid forward’ as loans to additional Bend small businesses.

The Angel Fund will provide grants to support Special Operations Soldiers seeking entheogenic medicinal treatments to address injuries sustained while serving our country.

The Malibu Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Pro Tem Mikke Pierson today announced the establishment of the Small Business Relief Fund made possible through a generous donation to The Change Reaction from Greg and Jodi Perlman, RJ and Ellen Miller, and Elisa Dellaripa, residents of Malibu. The loans are interest free and are available to Malibu-based small business owners and independent contractors who have been affected by the recent economic shutdown caused by COVID-19. Loans will range from $5,000 - $25,000 and will be repayable in equal installments over the course of 24 to 36 months, after a grace period of three months.

LOS ANGELES – Councilmember John Lee and the nonprofit, The Change Reaction, are teaming up again, but this time, to create two new programs that provide immediate assistance to residents and small businesses of Council District 12 with the unprecedented challenges they face during the COVID-19 global pandemic – A Helping Hand, a grocery assistance program for individuals facing food insecurity, and the CD12 Small Business Angel Fund for essential small businesses. The funding for the programs was made possible by a generous donation from Greg and Jodi Perlman, founders of The Change Reaction.
